  • The Gastric Tube and the Gastric Bypass or SADIS Bypass are, by far, the most effective and most used operations.
  • The gastric band and gastric plication are less effective and should only be used in very specific patients who, in addition, accept their lower efficacy.
  • Gastric plication is not currently accepted by scientific societies and is considered an operation under study, with insufficient results at two years.
