Is the hospital stay too heavy?
Laparoscopic surgery, without opening the abdomen, allows simple management of symptoms and facilitates postoperative comfort.
Recovery is very comfortable and quick. The patient can take a liquid diet from 24 hours after the operation (after a quick test and without discomfort in Radiology). You can walk around the entire hospitalization floor, living room, etc. (Except in the Lap Band, where they drink liquids at 3 o’clock and go home the next day).
On the last night, you don’t usually carry serums, which allows you to move more comfortably and sleep well.
The patient wears a drain during the hospital stay, which is most often removed before going home.
The laparoscopic wounds are very small, cause little discomfort and have no stitches to remove. The points are internal and reabsorbable.
